Living in Aude

Properties in Aude are some of the most sought after homes in the Languedoc area. We currently know several properties being sold. The department of Aude popular because of the ease at which people from the UK and large parts of Europe can get here. Although the main airport for the area is Carcassonne which also happens to be the principle City of Aude, you can also fly into Nimes, Perpignan, Toulouse, Montpellier and more recently Beziers. The property in this part of the Languedoc is diverse, from seaside homes down at the coast to remote, rural properties where peace and quiet is just what the doctor ordered. As an investment, Aude property is good too. You have the beaches, the countryside and you are not that far from the Pyrennes which gives you the opportunity to go skiing in the winter. These are normally 3 year leases. The population of the Aude area is around 352,000 but it never feels overcrowded. The other main towns of the area are Narbonne, Limoux and Lagrasse. From holiday apartments on the Med to the traditional houses of the Corbieres (however mind the wind) through to the townhouses of Carcassonne, Limoux and Narbonne.
